I didn't do any lunge work with Shane today. While I think its important to go over the basics every day, I also think its important that they can handle a ride without it! So, I tacked Shane up and led him to the arena, and just hopped on and started riding.
He's still moving off of leg a bit better each day, but I think tomorrow he might get introduced to spurs, just to open his eyes a little and get him moving more lightly off of my legs. When he goes home he certainly doesn't need to so heavy on his momma's leg!
Again, nothing huge to report. His mouth is so so soft, its such a pleasure to work with. His stop and back are still wonderful.
